  Lovely sunny day. It's my wife's birthday so we agreed to go to Tankerton, take our dogs for a walk then have a fish and chip lunch outside at Ossie's. Being local we've been to Ossie's quite often and it's always been very good. But on this occasion we did find our meal disappointing and expressed our concerns to them. The fish was ok but the portion of chips were both quite small, not moist but stale with a lot of small bits, typical of last scrapings being served to us. In addition the peas were also dry and my wife's portion not very warm. The lady who served us asked why we didn't complain earlier. Well, the inside seating was busy and we saw nobody to speak to until much later. Sad really it used to be excellent there.

  Wonderful food and great staff. We travel miles to just get these fish 'n' chippos. Nice and fresh and you have the option to sit in at the restaurant area next door. Highly recommend.
